In my opinion, math in a blog is a yes yes, not a no no. The problem, of course, is one of notation.
There is a TeX plugin for Trac, and there is also a blog plugin for Trac. My plan is to set up a Trac instance on a server with good connectivity to the internet. Then I'll be able to do mathematical blogs---and much more---with ease.
I'm actually in correspondence right now with a friend who runs his own Web hosting company. I hope that I'll be able to work out an affordable deal.
