Russian-born Andre Geim, now of the University of Manchester, has won the 2010 Nobel Prize in Physics for extracting graphene from a piece of graphite (using very sophisticated lab equipment: a piece of adhesive tape).He was last seen in 2000 winning the Ignobel for his work levitating frogs using a magnet.
